Meet the Team

  • Christina Pearson, Esq. First Assistant

    ADA Pearson joined the District Attorney’s office in January 2017. As the DWI Prosecutor, she is tasked with prosecuting all crimes related to drinking and/or drugged driving. She also prosecutes all misdemeanors, violations and traffic infractions in the Town of Root and the Town of Minden.

    After graduating from New England School of Law, (Boston) in 2004 she moved to Washington State and was admitted to practice in Washington in 2006. In 2013 she was admitted to practice in New York State and entered private practice. In 2015, she opened her private office in Amsterdam, New York. Experienced in matters in Family, Supreme, Surrogate and Criminal Courts, she handled matters such as custody, visitation, matrimonial, guardianship, as well as criminal defense.

    She was a member of the assigned counsel panel representing indigent persons for both Family and Criminal Court matters (2013-2019) as well as a panel member for Attorneys for Children (2013-present). In 2016, she served as an Assistant Public Defender in Montgomery County prior to joining the District Attorney’s office.

  • William Berger, ESQ.

    ADA Berger is an Army veteran who joined the Army after 9/11/2001. He served in Afghanistan from June of 2003 until April of 2004. He joined the DA’s office in June of 2021. ADA Berger is tasked with overseeing all cases, excluding DWI, drug sale cases, and crimes against revenue (CARP), in the Town and Village of Canajoharie and Charleston, and in the Town of Root. Additionally, he is responsible for handling all misdemeanor cases in the Town of St. Johnsville and the Town of Minden. William has a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Wagner College, and he obtained his law degree from Touro Law School.

    William has always been committed to public service. He was admitted to practice in December of 2016, and he began his legal career in January of 2017 working for the Fulton County District Attorney’s office. He worked for Fulton County until March of 2019 when he changed positions and began working for the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York as an OVS Staff Attorney, where he worked to help victims of Domestic Violence with civil matters. William moved from Long Island to Montgomery County with his family in 2017.

  • MANPREET KAUR, ESQ.

    ADA Kaur joined the District Attorney’s Office in November of 2021. She is tasked with prosecuting all felonies out of the City of Amsterdam Court, except for Drug, Weapons, Sex Crimes, and DWI. She also prosecutes all crimes against revenue (CARP) matters in Montgomery County, such as welfare fraud, insurance fraud, and tax fraud.

    A lifelong Montgomery County resident, ADA Kaur’s interest in the legal field started when she joined the Mock Trial Team at Amsterdam High School, a team she now is an Attorney Coach of. She went on to graduate from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Political Science in 2014. She graduated from Appalachian School of Law in 2019. While in law school, ADA Kaur was a competing member of her school’s Mock Trial team, Managing Editor of Appalachian Journal of Law, President of Phi Delta Phi Honors society, and the 2019 recipient of Angela Dales Memeorial Spirit of ASL award.

    She was admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey in January of 2021 and began her legal career working remotely with a private firm before gaining admission to practice in the State of New York in November 2021.

  • Ashley Meza, ESQ.

    ADA Meza joined the District Attorney’s Office in January 2022. She is tasked with prosecuting all cases in the Town of Florida, Town of Glen, and Town of Palatine, and all felonies in the Town of St. Johnsville and Town of Minden, except for dwi's and drug sale cases.

    ADA Meza graduated sum cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany in 2015 with a double major in Criminal Justice and U.S. History. ADA Meza went on to earn her juris doctorate from Albany Law School at Union University in 2018. In January of 2019, she was admitted to practice law in the State of New York. Prior to joining the District Attorney’s Office, ADA Meza practiced in all areas of civil litigation, focusing primarily on medical malpractice, personal injury, and labor and employment.

    During her time at Albany Law School, Mrs. Meza interned for both the Albany County District Attorney’s Office and the Albany County Public Defender’s Office. A native of Long Island, she also interned for the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office.

  • Katherine White, ESQ.

    ADA White joined the District Attorney’s Office in July of 2022. She is tasked with prosecuting felony cases, primarily out of the City of Amsterdam Court. She has a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Colorado State University in 2016. She moved to New York state to attend law school at Pace University in Westchester, New York in 2017. While in law school, White was the submissions Editor for the International Law Review and the Moot Skills Development Director on the Pace Law School Advocacy Honor Board. She participated in several moot court competitions and won awards for Best Oralist and Best Brief. In 2018, White graduated from Pace University with a Criminal Justice Concentration Certificate and an International Law Certificate. White is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and Tennessee. Since her admission to the New York State bar, White has continuously been a prosecutor for the State of New York working in both the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office and the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office before moving to Montgomery County.

  • Shannon Litvin, Esq.

    ADA Litvin joined the District Attorney’s Office in June 2023. She is tasked with prosecuting all misdemeanor, violations and traffic matters in the City of Amsterdam, except for DWI cases.

    ADA Litvin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where she played field hockey and was a member of the women’s rowing team. She is a Long Island native and moved to the Schenectady County region in May 2021. Prior to attending law school, ADA Litvin served one year as an AmeriCorps VISTA, where she helped build upon the Civil Legal Advice and Resource Office (CLARO) program throughout the New York City region. The CLARO program focused on providing limited scope legal assistance to low-income New Yorkers facing consumer debt cases.

    ADA Litvin graduated with a juris doctorate degree from Touro Law School in 2021. She is currently admitted to practice law in the State of New York and began her legal career focused on personal injury and medical malpractice before joining the District Attorney’s Office.
